Content:

  • Indications, complications and contraindications.
  • Informed consent.
  • Safety and sedation during colonoscopy.
  • Colonoscope design, function accessories and handling.
  • Diathermy theory and safety.
  • Basic colonoscopy technique.
  • Biopsy and polypectomy.
  • Management of an endoscopy unit.

Format:

Hands-on experience by performing four colonoscopies over the three days supported by lectures, discussion and videos.

Duration:

Three days.
